FaithStory is built on Christian principles of honesty, integrity, and service. These Terms of Service govern your use of our platform, and we approach them not merely as legal requirements but as commitments we make before God and to you.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FaithStory ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Our Mission

FaithStory exists to help you document your life testimony for the glory of God, following the model of Augustine's Confessions. We believe every life story reveals God's faithfulness and deserves to be preserved for future generations.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and truthful information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Content Guidelines

As a faith-based platform, we ask that all content shared through FaithStory:

• Be truthful and authentic to your genuine life experiences
• Respect the dignity of all persons, created in God's image
• Not contain content that is obscene, hateful, or promotes violence
• Not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Not include others' personal information without their consent

5. Your Content & Rights

You retain full ownership of all content you create on FaithStory. Your testimony is yours. We will never claim ownership of your life story.

By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to:

• Process your content to provide our services
• Create backups to protect your data
• Display your content to you and those you choose to share it with

6. AI-Assisted Features

FaithStory uses artificial intelligence to help you document your testimony. When using AI features:

• You remain responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content
• AI suggestions are tools to assist, not replace, your authentic voice
• We process your data securely and do not use it to train AI models for other purposes

7. Payment & Credits

FaithStory operates on a credit-based system. Credits do not expire and can be used for various services including AI assistance, book generation, and printing. All purchases are final, though we handle refund requests with grace and fairness.

8. Community Standards

When participating in our community features, we ask that you:

• Treat others with the love and respect Christ calls us to show
• Provide constructive and encouraging feedback
• Honor confidentiality when reviewing others' testimonies
• Report concerns through proper channels rather than public criticism

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Before termination, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and resolve issues, except in cases of severe violations.

10. Limitation of Liability

While we strive for excellence in all we do, FaithStory is provided "as is." We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
